(Version 1.05): See Vanilla Map Version (now removed) for changes prior to Version 1.05.
Eu4 more states mod mod#
Updated the mod to be compatible with patch 1.29, including all the changes made by Paradox in Asia. (Version 1.06): Fixed an issue where ships in Oregon would appear to dock in Washington. Forming nations no longer moves your capital. Added permanent claims for formable nations. Readded some trade modifiers to the Chesapeake trade node that were accidentally removed when modifying province values. Fixed the bug that was causing loading screen tips to cause weird crashes from a few patches ago and added them back in. Added loading screen images from the SuperStates mod (with permission, of course). Removed an event from the states that would spawn Protestant rebels much more frequently than usual, which caused Protestant states to convert to Catholic much more often than desirable. (Version 1.07): Completely rebalanced development values based on a complex formula that takes into account real-world GDP, population, and some other factors to closely simulate gameplay in Europe as effectively as possible whilst still remaining fun. I may return to Paradox games for future modding projects in the future, but this will probably be my last and only EU4 mod.

If you desire to play newer versions of the game as US states, I would suggest that you go play the SuperStates mod, which was finally updated past the 1.21 patch some time ago. I am also a lot busier nowadays than I was when I first started developing the mod.
Eu4 more states mod update#
While I could put in the effort to update the mod to work with later patches, I am not happy with the general game state of EU4 in either the 1.30 or the 1.31 patch. (FINAL VERSION): Updates for this mod have ceased development. Thanks to TheAtomicGerbil for the excellent formula used to redistribute development values. Thanks to Lunar Magister for help with the national ideas of many of the states and help with rebalancing institution spread.

This mod will also conflict with mods that change the way technology or institutions work. This mod will conflict with any mod that changes province IDs and/or any province changed within the mod (North America, Mexico, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, etc.). After taking the required provinces, you can reform the US, Thirteen Colonies, the Confederacy, and even a few less historical nations too. The Mexican and North American natives have also been removed from the map for balancing purposes. Additionally, the states belong to a unique technology group that should have units on par with those of Western Europe and be able to embrace institutions around the same time. Each state has its correct flag, religious and cultural makeup, and borders, as well as unique national ideas inspired by real-world facts. This mod allows you to play as every US state and also Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands at the 1444 start date.
